Have Yourself A White Winter

I'm not quite sure where the "no white after Labor Day" rule came from, but it is time to throw it out the window. Winter white is most definitely in this year, and I love it! I always reach a point in the winter months when I get so tired of all of the dark winter tones. Black everything becomes a staple, and I find myself longing for the bright colors of spring.  You can  bring your white dresses and pants into winter by easily pairing them with boots, neutral toned sweaters, and many more options.

Shop my look:
Sweater: Old Navy Sweater (another option Here) | Skinnies: Old (Options Here and Here) | Boots: Off Broadway Riding Boots | Necklace: Target Statement Necklace

Here is a closer look at that adorable Target statement necklace because this post wouldn't be complete without it.

What's your favorite way to wear winter whites?

No Place For Heels

I'm sorry I have neglected my new little blog baby recently. I went to San Francisco for work for a week and came home with the plague. It's hard to post about fashion when you are sick for a week. My biggest accessory was a box of Kleenex...

Now I'm back to life and ready to blog.

I was definitely not thinking about the San Fran hills when I packed for my trip. I had all sorts of cute outfits lined up, which all pretty much included heels. I basically ended up wearing my Converse shoes the whole time and was SO thankful I remembered to bring them along. They are one of my most favorite pairs of shoes that I own. Not only are they super comfortable, they add extra style to your casual wear. If you don't have a pair, you are totally missing out! ;)

I didn't get a chance to capture a photo of my favorite San Fran outfit, but I have created a similar look below.

San Fran Style

I always love adding a little extra flare to casual outfits with a big statement necklace, an extra layer, like the military vest, or a scarf.

Here are some of my favorite photos I captured while exploring beautiful San Francisco with my friend/coworker.

What are some of your favorite ways to spice up your casual attire?

Have a great week!

Fashion With A Cause

In honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness month, I have compiled a few of my favorite fashion finds that are pink, adorable, AND donating to a great cause. It's a win-win for you and your closet, and who doesn't love a good excuse to go shopping??
Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion FindsFrom left to right, top to bottom:

Coach Legacy Sport Breast Cancer Awareness Watch: 10% of the purchase price goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Stella & Dot Strength and Inspire Bracelets: 100% of proceeds through October go to benefit the Noreen Fraser Foundation, which supports women's cancer research.
Vineyard Vines Whale Tail Chevron Scarf: 30% of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Alliance.
Essie Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 Collection: A portion of the proceeds go to City of Hope.
Tory Burch York Buckle Tote: Tory Burch is donating 20% from the purchase of this tote in Carnation Red to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Kendra Scott Danielle Earrings in Rose Quartz: During the month of October, 20% of the proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen Austin.
Forever 21 Breast Cancer Awareness Collection: $1 from every collection item purchase will go to the Keep A Breast Foundation.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core Ox: Converse is donating $50,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Got my adorable pink Kendra Scott earrings this month so I could help donate to the cause.

Breast cancer awareness is near and dear to my heart. My best friend lost her sweet, loving, hard working, just all around wonderful mom to breast cancer a couple of years ago. I'll keep it light, but I wear the color pink with a little more meaning now.

Out With The Old, In With The Cash

How many times have you gone through your closet and had the hardest time parting with an item because "Aww... I remember when I wore this...", "I'm sure I'll wear this again...", or "I'm going to keep this in case I can fit in it again one day. I'll use it as motivation..."? Well, it's amazing how your thought process changes when you have the option of receiving cash for it. ;)

As my "Wish List" Pinterest board was starting to expand (Yes, I am Sam, and I admit I have a problem), I was trying to think of ways that I could fund my shopping and fashion obsession without Blake having a coronary. That's when I discovered the wonderful world of Poshmark (Get the App). If you have never heard of it, it is a website devoted to buying and selling fashion. Not only can you make money for those clothes sitting in the back of your closet that you insist you will wear again, but you can also find amazing deals on designer fashions from other sellers.

This is a screenshot of my Closet in the app. Link to my closet.
You simply set up a profile, your "Closet", where you set up your sizing information and easily list your items for sale. Shipping is super easy. Poshmark emails you prepaid shipping labels. Buyers are given three days to decline/accept the purchase once it has been received, and then, VOILA, your money is released.

I seriously scored BIG TIME with these Tory Burch flats that I have been dreaming of forever.

There was no way that I could justify or be willing to part with a hefty $225 for ballerina flats, so I went searching. I literally used the search function in the Poshmark app, and found a huge listing of Tory Burch flats in my size (Since you put your sizing info in your profile, it searches based on your size!). I found these babies listed for $140 and was able to get the seller to settle upon $120. I had sold some pieces in my closest, so I had credits to apply to purchase price. Woohoo! They have practically been glued to my happy feet since.

If you choose to create your own closet, make sure to join with code: BIFEH, and you will receive a $5 credit to apply to your first purchase!

Happy Poshing!

There is so much more that I could have added, so if you have any questions, please comment below, or feel free to email me at samantha.morgan517@gmail.com. I am always happy to help a fellow fashion lover!

Everyone Needs One

"Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it."

Shop my look:
Top: Fab'rik Crop Top | Kimono: So Perla Perfect Print Kimono (more options Here and Here) | Pants: H&M Skinny Jeans | Shoes: Cathy Jean Booties | Jewelry: Kendra Scott Necklace and Michael Kors Watch

Kimonos are a fun and super comfy way to add a little spice to your wardrobe. They are perfect for adding an extra layer and depth to your outfit. You can throw a kimono over a simple shift dress or over your favorite tank, and boom, you've taken your outfit to the next level. It's all about layering!

I am really obsessed with this style right now because our crazy Georgia weather won't make up its mind on whether it is summer or fall, so I can transition to a fall look without burning up on warm days. Oh, who am I kidding? I love them because it feels like I am wearing really light blanket.

P.S. Check out those awesome pom poms on the sleeves :)

Hello Blogging World

Well, hello everyone! As if there aren't enough fashion blogs out in the world of the internet, I am excited to finally to say I have added one more.

The idea of creating a fashion blog is one that I have been throwing around for over a year now. I keep finding myself talking about it, researching it, and coming up with ideas, but always making excuses not to pull the trigger. It can be quite an intimidating leap of faith, but I'd rather be able to say I tried than continue to lurk in the shadows. So here I am. Time to stop talking the talk.

Here's a little about me:

The name of my blog is pretty fitting... I am 5 foot, blonde (take it how you would like), and have a personality that is way larger than my height.

I am a CPA who loves all things fashion. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but I promise accountants aren't always as lame as they are made out to be.

I am a self proclaimed cat lady, and I am not afraid to admit it. However, my heart only belongs to one cat in particular, so I feel like that is a little redeeming.

I am a newlywed as of May 17 this year, and I sure do have myself a catch (if I must say so myself).

That's enough rambling about myself. If you have questions, feel free to ask! And if you have blogging advice, please share! I really can't get enough advice in that area considering this is all new to me.

Stay tuned!
